My name is Nora Kaid, but everyone calls me “Umm Muhannad” — even though Muhannad hasn’t come yet. We’ve been praying and waiting for years, still holding on to hope.

I’m a displaced woman. Our home, once a place of safety and warmth, is now rubble after it was bombed. We fled in a single night with nothing — no shelter, not even a mattress to sleep on.

I’ve been married for 8 years. I dreamed of becoming a mother. I underwent 3 rounds of IVF. The last one was in early October 2023… but it failed. That heartbreak still lives inside me.

My husband is injured. He can’t work, can’t even carry a bottle of water. I take care of everything alone — him, our makeshift tent, and all the burdens of survival. I try to be a wife, a nurse, and a provider, but the weight is too heavy to bear alone.

Though I don’t have children of my own yet, the children around me are growing up in war, in hunger, in fear. And I’m just trying to survive… not for a better life, but simply not to die from helplessness.

I’m reaching out to anyone with a kind heart. Please, help me stand back up. Help me bring back a little dignity, a little warmth, a little food. Your donation isn’t just support — it’s life.
